RICHARD BOURDEAU
Richard was called to the Bar of Ontario in 2002, after having explored several other careers. He has been an high school teacher, a parole officer, a paramedic and the training coordinator for Emergency Services at Health Canada.
Richard enjoys a great sense of fun and humour. He enjoys thinking outside the box as is evident by his unique sense of fashion. He loves bright colours and dresses accordingly.
Richard’s experience is wide ranging and provides him with a depth of knowledge and experience which he uses to the benefit of his clients. He believes in avoiding court confrontations in favour of negotiation. The negotiation process is close to his heart and something that he fervently believes in. He is a certified corroborative family lawyer.
Richard is also a trial lawyer for criminal cases. He has the ability to litigate both in English and French. Although, he would prefer to negotiate family issues, in the criminal realm Richard is more than happy to aggressively argue a case before a judge or jury.
Richard has a variety of extra-curricular activities. He canoes, he skis, he loves reading and is even a gourmet chef. He is also active in the community, being a member of the Lions Club and formerly the Chairman of the City of Kingston Accessibility Advisory Committee.
Richard is a well rounded person who brings a deep and abiding concern for his clients to his practice of Criminal and Family law. He cares for his clients and is not beyond seeking new and sometimes strange solutions achieve a positive result for his clients.
